Clubs & Extracurricular Activities

At Howden Junior School we enrich our curriculum with a range of musical, sporting and creative activities available at various times throughout the academic year. These can change regularly, so there is always the opportunity to join new activities if the children choose to.

All clubs start at 3.30pm and finish at 4.30pm. All children are to be collected, unless they have permission to walk home.  When collecting your child please walk through the car park and wait at the gate, an adult will let you on site once the children are lined up on the playground – as per our normal collection procedures.

Attending Clubs

If your child is attending a club that is sports based they should come to school in their PE Kit.

Note: If you child is signed up for a club but is unable to attend a session please contact the office to update the register.

All after school clubs are offered on a first come, first serve basis, to the whole school unless stated and cost £1 per session, unless stated.

Payment must be made through Arbor to book a place on a club – children must sign up for the entire half term.  This payment covers the cost of additional staffing and resources.   If you are not yet registered or have difficulty booking your child’s place, please contact the school office.
